Super Smash Bros. Review
Super Smash Bros. Brawl can be summed up into one magical word, WOW! When I first saw it I thought it would be another smash game like the last two, a beat-up everything in sight brawl fest. When I heard about Wi-Fi play, I changed that to a smash everything in sight, no matter where they’re playing from.

When I finally got my copy on release day Monday (at least for the Wal-Mart in my city) and played through the first 20 or so percent of the story I learned otherwise. I found that the story has a well written storyline. It has many funny parts, it has many (if you get into the story or are a die hard fan) dramatic/depressing parts. I also like how you can unlock all the characters by playing through the story mode so you don’t have to do like a billion brawls to unlock them (though I did it this way because I like doing things the old way).
This, like most good games, have online play. Though unlike most there are very few, if any lag issues. So far I have only hit one slight bit of lag and thats because I was on my laptop also playing World of Warcraft and it messed up. Other than if you have that happen, there shouldn’t be any lag issues. The online play also adds a new dimension to the game, GAMBLING! If you own the game, and have gone online, you may have noticed in the observer mode you can bet on the winner. Now if you haven’t found this out, then I pity you and I tell you to go and have fun with it, I know I have.

Now lets talk about something more technical, the graphics. They like the game are incredible, well for the Wii at least. You can only put the graphics to justice by playing the game on a Hi-Def TV. If you don’t have a Hi-Def TV then fear not, the game will still look great. There are a few small glitches in the cut scenes. I’ve noticed that the backgrounds in some of them seem to glitch and not be what they’re supposed to be or become jagged, but that may only be a random event or a problem with my copy or Wii. Past that the graphics are technically superior to any other Wii game.
Now lets talk about the lifetime of this game. Dues to the sheer amount of stickers, trophies, battle combinations and online play, this game could last you anywhere from a few months to a year to completely finish the game.
Overall this is probable one of Nintendo’s best games so far, and is a must have if you own a Wii.
